DFGS/DFA GAUGE FORCE LIMITS AND TCD TEST STAND DEFLECTION LIMITS
Setting DFGS/DFA gauge force limits – Compression & Tension
- Gauge should be in "ON" position
- Press SET key on gauge
- Use ß and ^ arrow keys to:
- Set "C"ompression force limits,
- Press ENTER key when values are adjusted; - Repeat for "T"ension force limits, - Press ENTER when "L LO" is flashing
- Set force limits no higher then 80% of gauge capacity
Activating force limits(Set once and do not deactivate)
- Press * and PROG Keys to activate force limits
- Press ENTER key to activate
- Audible alarm @ "BEEP"
- Set points @ "S .SP"
- Press "PROG" key to Deactivate battery timeout @ "L. H"
Note: if set points are not activated, force limits are nullified.
Activating TCD limit switch
- Press LIMIT key on TCD 200
- Set deflection high & low limits
- Press SET and "DEFL HIGH" & "DEFL LOW" keys
Note: TCD limit switch must be activated and displayed; if not, both the stand deflection limits and gauge force limits are nullified.
Setting the physical limit switches(rear of TCD column)
- Move the lower limit switch to a position to prevent contact between the gauge/load cell and the lower fixture or base.
- Tests the positioning at a low stand speed, adjust positioning as necessary.
Performing a "DRY-RUN" test
- Test all safety devices without a product sample to insure that the test stand will stop at a safe "NON-CONTACT" position.
