TG 4975 3 Point Bend Jig for Polystyrene

This fixture is designed to perform three point bend tests on polystyrene samples measuring 300 x 150 x 50 mm (11.81 x 5.91 x 1.97 in) in accordance with the standard EN 12089: 1997 (Method B).

The jig consists of an extruded aluminium base with a fixed centre of 250 mm (9.84 in). Two circular supports 30 mm (1.18 in) in diameter, are fitted to the base. The sample is placed centrally on the two supports. An upper loading anvil with a 5/8 in eye end is fixed to the machine’s load cell and driven down onto the sample midway between the two support
