JLW Instruments Metrology Concepts, Inc. Presents:
Consolidated Devices Inc.
Consolidated Devices, Inc., CDI is owned by Snap-On Tools Corp. and is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of hand
tools. CDI has been manufacturing torque instruments for over 25 years and has one of the largest selection of torque
products available. CDI offers wrenches, screwdrivers and torque standards.
Dial Type Wrenches

CDI dial torque wrenches are "state of the art" torque wrenches; Exclusive torsion beam design provides long life and
durability. CDI dial torque wrenches feature ±4% accuracy, bi-polar dual scales, large easy to read dials and are available
with options such as; Follower needle, electric light and beeper or ratcheting drive. Special dual scale combinations are
available. All wrenches come with a plastic storage box or metal case (except 2000 ft.lb. model which comes in cardboard
containers).
The CDI dial torque wrenches are available with ranges from 0-15 inch pounds up to 0-2000 foot pounds. These wrenches
are available in In.Lbs., Ft.Lbs., Kgfcm, Kgfm, DNm, and Nm units.
Micro-Adjustable Handle

CDI Micro-Adjustable torque wrenches are available in ranges up to 1000 ft.lbs. and meet or exceed ANSI/ASME B107.14M-1994
accuracy of ±4% clockwise & ±6% counterclockwise. The Micro-Adjustable torque wrench is rugged, accurate and easy to
operate and is available with a ratchet or plain style of head. All models feature an exposed scale and are equiped with
rugged knurled handles with pull-down lock rings. Micrometer "clicker" torque wrenches feature a distinct breaking action
when the set torque is reached.
In addition CDI also offers an Ergonomic Micro-Adjustable plastic handle torque wrench which is shown below. This style
is offered in many of the same ranges as shown above but features an ergonomic styled high impact plastic handle for
operator comfort.

Pre-Set Clicker
CDI Pre-Set torque wrenches are designed for use on production lines and other applications where a specific torque is
required for repetitive operations. The design, fabrication, and materials used have been developed in coordination with
major manufacturers in actual production use.Thes wrenches feature removable ratchet, plain, open-end, flair nut, and 15°
box style heads (others available). 11 models are available with pre-setable ranges from 16 in.lbs. up to 600 ft.lbs.
Torque Screwdrivers

Micro-Adjustable & Preset (3-15 in-lb & 5-40 in-lb & 20-100 in-oz)
Adjustable models offer versatility for applications that require more than one torque value. These torque screwdrivers are particularly suited for the electronics industry and for instrument assembly work. A simple, cam-over design prevents over-tightening and possible damage to components.
Torque settings are easily and accurately changed with a unique adjusting knob and easy-to-read window scale. Adjusting the screwdriver is simple. Just pull out the adjusting knob to unlock, turn to the desired setting, then push the knob in until it clicks!
Positive locking knob makes accidental setting changes impossible. Automatic lock in counterclockwise direction makes fastener removal a snap. The Micro-Adjustable series includes six models with torque settings ranging from 20 in. ozs. to 40 in. lbs.
Torque Standards & Testers

TCF 2000
CDI offers several different torque calibrators. The TCF2000 is a sophisticated torque and force calibrator designed
under contract for the U.S. Air Force. This calibrator is capable of measureing torque up to 2000 ft.lbs. CW & CCW as
well as measuring tension and compression up to 2000 lbf. Accuracy when measuring torque is ±0.25% I.V. or ±2 in.oz. which
ever is greater. Accuracy when measuring force is ±0.5% I.V. (tension/compression) and ±0.75% I.V. when measuring cable
tension. The TCF2000 comes with the Computest digital indicator and features a alphanumeric display and can operate in a
track, peak, or first peak mode. The indicator can display torque in seven units (ft.lb., in.lb., in.oz., Nm, dNm, mKg, cmKg)
and six units of force (lb., oz., N, dN, kp, p). The TCF2000 has many options available. This calibrator is designed for a
user that has many numbers of torque and/or force measuring instruments and requires automation. Please call us for
additional information.

DIGITEST
The digitest is a versatile torque tester that can be used alone or can be used with CDI's bench top loader. The
Digitest can be purchased for use with any of CDI's torque transducers. Please contact Metrology Concepts for information.
ETT Electronic Torque Tester
The ETT is designed to be mounted anywhere an operator may require a need to verify the torque setting of a torque
wrench. The ETT is available in eight different models with ranges available from 10-100 in.oz. up to 60-600 ft.lbs.
Accuracy is ±0.5% I.V. (10-100% of range). The ETT is often used with Joint Rate Simulators for testing electric and
pneumatic tools.
